Fiat 500: Abarth 595 Pista

There’s something special about a small car with a good amount of power, the light weight of these small cars makes them fun to drive without the need for hundreds of horsepower, throw in a manual transmission and you have a recipe for smiles.

The Fiat 500 Abarth is one such car, it’s a lightweight car with a good amount of power. The latest version of the car is called the Abarth 595 Pista, it comes with upgraded turbos and now makes 163 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque at 2,250 rpm. This may not seem like much but this much power in a small package like this is a lot of fun to zip around in city traffic or twisty back country roads.

The Abarth 595 Pista also benefits from Koni rear suspension with FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) technology, which helps with handling of what’s an already great handling car. The car also gets Record Monza active exhaust system. To stop this little rocket, the brakes have been upgraded to 284 mm front and 240 mm rear ventilated discs.

The interior see small upgrades like sports seats, flat bottom steering wheel, “Sport” button for increasing torque, and an MTA gearbox with paddle shifters.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
