360 HP EDS Tuned Opel Astra Turbo

EDS is Marl, Germany based car tuning company that has created a monster out of the Opel Astra Turbo.  They took the most powerful Opel Astra, 1.6 liter turbo with 180 horsepower, and tuned the engine to produce an impressive 360 HP and 354 pound-feet (480 Nm) of torque.  This thing looks like it’ll be extremely fun to drive.

EDS upgraded the turbocharger with a Garret GT28 unit, put in a new manifold, a sports exhaust system, upgraded the ECU along with a few other upgraded parts.  The end result is a small hatchback with a hell of a lot of horsepower that is sure to put smiles on its owners’ faces.

Other than engine mods, the tuning company added a new sports clutch, a sports suspension, Quaife diff. lock, and high performance disks with 8 calipers for improved stopped power.

Exterior modifications are kept to a minimum with blacked-out upper and lower front grills and a diffuser in the back that houses the four tail pipes.  The EDS Opel Astra Turbo rides on a set of 20” wheels that don’t suite the car at all, they look like those cheap hub-caps that pretend to be mag wheels.  For max grip, the car is equipped with Pirelli PZero 235/35 ZR20 front and 275/30 ZR20 rear tires.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
