Novitec Rosso Ferrari 599 GTO

Novitec-Rosso-Ferrari-599-GTO

Novitec Rosso are on a roll with their third tuned Ferrari, they are fast becoming our favorite car tuning company.  This time they’ve tuned the Ferrari 599 GTO, which will be displayed with the Ferrari California Race 606 and 458 Italia at the Geneva Motor Show.

We’ll start off with the most important tuning area, the engine.  The Novitec tuned Ferrari 599 GTO now produces a mind-boggling 888 horsepower at 8,400 rpm and 636 pound-feet (862 Nm) of torque at 6,600 rpm from the 6.0 liter V12 engine.  The 599 GTO produces “only” 670 HP and 457 pound-feet (620 Nm) in stock form.  To achieve these figures, Novitec added a modified high performance supercharger with a dedicated oil circuit for lubrication.  To keep things cool, a large water-to-air intercooler with a dedicated water circuit was added.  Other upgrades include high performance injectors, sports air filters, custom intake manifold, and a high performance stainless steel exhaust system.  Like the two cars tuned by Novitec, the 599 GTO’s exhaust note can be changed with the “Manettino” button located on the steering wheel.

The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 599 GTO is able to sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and 124 mph (200 km/h) in 9.1 seconds with a top speed of over 211 mph (340 km/h).

The exterior doesn’t get many upgrades with the exception of blacked-out tail lights and the addition of a third brake lights, rear fog lamp, and side markers.  The car is painted in a special silver color with a yellow stripe in honor of the Ferrari 250 GTO racing car that was driven by Belgians George Berger and Lucien Bianchi in the 1964 Tour de France which they won.

The Novitec 599 GTO rides on Novitec Rosso NF4 light-weight wheels; 21” at the front and 22” at the rear and makes use of Pirelli PZero 295/25 ZR21 front and 335/25 ZR22 rear tires.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
