German car tuning company MBK has released their version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar called MBK P640 SLS AMG. Unlike the Mansory SLS AMG Cormeum I talked about yesterday, the MBK P640 is very understated with minimal body modifications. I think the headlights and the side skirts from the Mansory tuning kit would look great on this car.
In the “Stage One” tuning package, the MBK P640 SLS AMG gets a horsepower boost from 571 to 638 HP and sees an increase in torque from 479 to 524 pound-feet (650 to 710 Nm). The power increase is achieved by upgraded software and the addition of a new air intake and exhaust system. The car does the 0 – 62 mph sprint in 3.7 seconds while the 124 mph (200 km/h) mark is reached in 10.5 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
The car sits on some beefy looking tires; I’m not sure what to think of the wheels. The front wheels measure 9.5 x 20” with 275/35 ZR tires and the rear wheels measure 11.5 x 20” with 295/30 ZR Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The MKB P640 SLS AMG meets Euro 5 emission class standards and comes with a MKB warranty.
