2022 Honda Civic

The Honda Civic is a long-running line of cars in production for 50 years. It was originally introduced in 1972 as a subcompact car and was designed to be affordable and fuel-efficient. Over the years, the Civic has evolved and grown in size and is now classified as a mid-size car. In 2021, Honda released the 11th generation of the Civic as a 2022 model. This new generation is available as a sedan and a 4-door hatchback. However, the Civic Coupe has been discontinued due to low sales. The Civic SI and Civic Type-R models are available and come with manual transmissions.

The 2022 Civic is offered with two engine options. The first is a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available on the LX, EX, and Sport trims. The second engine option is a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available on the Touring and SI trims, but it produces 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque in the SI trim. The Type-R model features a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. All of these engines come with a stop/start feature, which helps save fuel and the option to choose between eco, normal, and sport driving modes. The stop/start feature shuts off the engine when the car is stopped and automatically restarts it when the driver is ready to resume driving. The different driving modes allow the driver to customize the car’s performance to suit their preferences or the driving conditions.

In addition to its sportier driving experience, the 2022 Civic also boasts updated exterior and interior design and improved safety features and technology. The exterior design has been refreshed and modernized, giving the Civic a more modern and stylish look. The interior design has also been updated and features a more spacious and comfortable layout. The Civic now includes a digital instrument cluster and a larger infotainment system, which provide the driver with more information and entertainment options. The Civic also comes with various advanced safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning, which help keep the driver and passengers safe on the road.

Prices for the 2022 Civic range from $25,370 for the LX sedan to $35,650 for the Sport Touring hatchback. These prices do not include freight and PDI (pre-delivery inspection) charges, which add an additional $1,780. The Civic is a well-respected and popular car that has sold over 27 million units worldwide. It has a strong reputation for being reliable, fuel-efficient, and affordable, and it continues to evolve and meet the needs of its customers.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
