What do you get when you take a luxury automaker and introduce them to a luxury piano maker? You get the BMW 7-Series Individual Composition, which is a collaboration between automakers BMW and high-end piano manufacturer Steinway & Sons.
As you’d expect, there is liberal usage of piano black lacquer, which just happens to be one of my favorite finishes. The interior uses merino leather, either a white or black color to contrast the exterior, not match it. The carped is made out of lamb’s wool and looks pretty damn cool, the headliner makes use of Alcantara and Steinway & Sons company logo has been embroidered into the headrests and is used throughout the interior on various trim pieces.
The exterior colors can be either black or white that features a special three layer clear coat. The paint has been hand finished and waxed to give the luxurious look of high end pianos. There is a gold pinstripe running along the body-line and special 20 inch rims have been used to distinguish this BMW 7-Series Individual from the standard 7-Series cars.
The special edition Steinway & Sons package can be ordered with the regular, long wheelbase and hybrid BMW 7-Series cars.
