Video: Hennessey Venom GT On The Dyno – Shooting Fire

Below is a newly released video of the potent Hennessey Venom GT supercar on a dyno running 20 psi of boost on 93 octane gasoline.  The Venom GT fires lightning bolts from its exhausts, as if to say “don’t even think about tailgating me”.

The Hennessey Venom GT is powered by a twin-turbo 6.2 liter LS9 V8 engine that’s mounted right behind the driver.  You need to have big balls to own one of these little beasts, producing 1,200 horsepower while weighing only 2,700 pounds.  0 to 60 mph is achieved in less than 3 seconds with a top speed of over 260 mph.  In addition to possessing a set of large testicles, you’re also going to need a big wallet, the Hennessey Venom GT will cost you $600,000 and only 10 will be produced annually.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
