RK Motors Tuned 1967 Shelby GT500 Supercharged

RK-Motors-GT500

RK Motors together with Pro Touring Super Cars decided to mix new muscle with old muscle. They took a standard 1967 Ford GT500 and added a modern 4.6L Supercharged DOHC Cobra engine. To go for the Eleanor look from “Gone in 60 Seconds”, they added a rear cap and integrated spoiler, C-pillar and quarter panel scoops, nose cone with center-mounted lights, and a vented Shelby hood. To give it a true Shelby look, the car is painted in Acapulco Blue and Shelby stripes.

The 4.6L Cobra engine produces 444 hp and 495 pound feet of torque. To let the horsepower flow smoothly, an exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers and tips are added. To handle like a modern car, RK Motors added 12 way adjustable coil-over shocks and 18 inch Coys wheels.

A total package consisting of good looks and modern muscle will set you back $99,900. Not a bad price tag considering the real Eleanor would cost 4 or 5 times as much as this modern package.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
