Inden Design Works Magic – Turns 2009 S500 Into 2011 Mercedes S65 AMG

Inden Design S500 package S65 AMG

Okay, they don’t really turn it into a 2011 model. For those of you who have already coughed up the dough for the previous Mercedes S500 (W221) and don’t quite feel like getting another car for the cosmetic and mechanical changes, then Inden Design of Germany has just the package for you. The concept behind the project is to update the S500 to match that of the current 2011 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG.

The face lift by car tuning company Inden Design obviously includes the S65 AMG’s bodykit which includes the front bumper assembly that includes the very cool LED daytime running lights, tail lamps, rear diffuser, side skirts, and aggressive wheel arches. The upgrade package also happens to include a vinyl wrap in matte Grey as well as 20-inch wheels. As for the interior, the interior of the Mercedes S500 includes a mixture of two-tone leather in black and while as well Alcantara pieces. The wood trims inside the car have also been replaced with carbon fiber.

As for the mechanical upgrades, the performance enhancements allow the 5.0 liter V8 to put down an impressive 420HP which perfectly complements the roaring sports exhaust system. To bring this massive beast to a screeching halt, six-pot calipers in the front and four-pot calipers in the rear have been installed. The brake upgrade actually happens to be from the V12 S600. A lower kit has also been installed to help with the performance on windy roads.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
