FPV Ford Falgon GT Concept

Ford-FPV-Falcon-GT-Concept

In Australia, two of the main competitors in the car market are Holden and Ford. It’s because of this friendly competition that we see great vehicle’s being built. Ford Performance Vehicle (FPV) has released their first ever concept car to get back at Holden’s in house performance division, Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) and their Black Edition Clubsport.

The subject of this concept car would be the Ford Falcon GT. All black everything, the menacing look defined by a Silhouette black paintwork combined with matte finish stripe work that runs along the hood, rear wing, side sills and rear diffuser. The 19 inch one piece forged alloy wheels get the same paint treatment, wrapped in Dunlop SP Sportmaxx GT tires.

Noticeably larger brake ducts are incorporated into the front bumper to help cool down the large 6 piston brake calipers up front and on the rear, 4 piston brake calipers; which are both finished in black. Also on the rear, black framing has been used to enhance the tail lights.

The interior get the same treatment as the outside, smoked windows and black leather trim throughout.

A track tuned suspension and a full stainless steel high-flow twin exhaust with quad pipes compliment the rear diffuser.  The afore mentioned larger brakes are a great addition to stop the beastly 5.0 liter supercharged engine that churns out 449 horsepower and 420 pound-feet (569 Nm) of torque.

Although the FPV is a one off concept car, Darth Vader is waiting for Ford to announce the production date.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
