First Super Cars Test Drives The 2011 Jaguar XJ

In collaboration with our friends at Unfinished Man, here’s our first car review/test drive.  For a complete review of the 2011 Jaguar XJ please visit Unfinished Man.

The 2011 Jaguar XJ was provided to us by MCL Motor Cars and we drove around in it (in style) for three days.  The new Jaguar XJ is a departure from the classic styling of the XJ’s that we’ve grown accustomed to over the years.  I believe this new styling is to attract a younger audience to the brand, and it seems to work.  Everywhere we drove, we got a lot of looks from the younger crowd (20 and 30 something’s) and these looks were the positive kind.

I personally loved the styling in the front of the car, the lights (or the eyes as I like to call them) have an extremely seductive look to them, like a super model giving you “that look”.  I’m not too big of a fan of the rear styling, I think it could use some work.  On the positive side, the rear-end looks like no other car on the road, which is a good thing in my opinion.

Inside, the car is full of all the latest gadgets and gizmos and all the luxury amenities you’d expect in a car of this caliber.  Bluetooth, navigation, rear-view camera, blind spot warning, climate control, heated/cooled massage seats all come standard.

Overall the 2011 Jaguar XJ is an excellent car and our three days seemed to fly by, literally and figuratively.  For anyone that’s looking into a large luxury car that will set them apart from their neighbors’ average looking BMW/Mercedes/Lexus, the Jaguar is an excellent choice.

We would like to thank MCL Motor Cars for providing us with this fine luxury automobile and stay tuned as we bring you more not-so-average cars.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
