Video: WSJ’s Dan Neil Drives The McLaren MP4-12C

WSJ-Test-Drive-McLaren-MP4-12CIt seems everyone is getting a shot at driving the latest supercar from Britain, the McLaren MP4-12C, this time it was Wall Street Journal’s Da Neil enjoying the car; my question to McLaren is, where the hell was our invitation?  Video after the jump.

By now you probably know everything there is to know about the McLaren MP4-12C but if you forgot or just need a refresher, here it is again:

The McLaren MP4-12C is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8 liter mid-mounted V8 engine that produces 592 horsepower and 443 pound-feet (600 Nm) of torque, the engine has been developed in-house.  The MP4-12C weighs only 2,866 pound (1,300 kg) thanks to being mostly constructed out of carbon fiber.  According to McLaren, the MP4-12C should be able to do the 0 – 62 mph sprint in under 3.0 seconds and reach 124 mph (200 km/h) in less than 10 seconds with a top speed of over 200 mph (322 km/h).

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
