Audi unveiled the “all-new” R8 yesterday, which is more of an evolution of the previous model. Today, they’ve released a promo video for the 2016 R8 Plus, which shows the car a bit better than the photos. The second generation R8 does look pretty good, but then again, we already liked the previous generation.
The 2016 Audi R8 is offered in two flavor, the regular R8 and the R8 Plus. Both cars are powered by 5.2 liter V10 engines mated to 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmissions. The V10 in the R8 produces 540 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque and 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque in the R8 Plus version. The 0 – 100 km/h is reached in 3.5 and 3.2 seconds with top speeds of 323 km/h and 330 km/h respectively.
