Lamborghini Aventador Official Photo Released

Lamborghini-Aventador-Official-Spy-Shot

Lamborghini has finally released an official photo of their all new supercar, the Aventador.  Unfortunately the picture is heavily disguised with all those squiggly lines.  The car has the look of the Reventon and doesn’t seem too different from the Murcielago but one camouflaged picture isn’t enough to see what exactly the Aventador will look like.

A little background information on the Lamborghini Aventador (if you’ve been keeping up with news on this car, you’d know that the name hasn’t been finalized): it will be powered by a hand-built V12 engine and is said to produce around 700 horsepower and will rev to 8,250 rpms.  The engine will weigh only 517 pounds (235 kg) and will be mated to a single-clutch 7-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission.  The Aventador will be equipped with a sweet F1-styled pushrod suspension.

I haven’t been this excited about a car in a long time and can’t wait till the Aventador is officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in early March.  Check back here for lots hi-res pictures and the official power and performance specs on the Lamborghini Aventador supercar.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
