Kahn Design Defender 110 Flying Huntsman WB 6×6 Concept

British car tuning firm Kahn Design are known for creating some very attractive looking vehicles, especially Land Rover Defenders. Now the firm has introduced, or will introduce at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 Concept based on the Land Rover Defender 110.

We’re guessing the inspiration for the Flying Huntsman came from the Mercedes 6×6, both the G-Class and Defender are iconic off-road vehicles, so why not create the Land Rover Defender equivalent of the Mercedes 6×6. The tuned vehicle is also larger than the standard Defender 110; the hood has been extended by 400 mm, the rear cabin is extended by 800 mm, and the vehicle is 150 mm wider. The windscreen has an increased rake and the doors are bigger for easy entry and exit. Based on the image provided by the tuner, the Defender looks a bit awkward at first sight, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see what it looks like in the flesh when it’s finally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Kahn Design Flying Huntsman is powered by a powerful GM sourced 6.2 liter LS3 V8 engine producing about 430 horsepower and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Flying Huntsman is built to be a very off-road capable vehicle, it’s equipped with a hi-lo ratio drive system and locking differentials, upgraded suspension, heavy duty chassis, and upgraded braking system.

The Flying Huntsman is also going to be available with various levels of armoring, for those customers living in hostile environments. Via: Kahn Design

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
