GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept

It isn’t often we write about trucks here at First Super Cars, but when we do, you know it’s a special truck.  The GMC Sierra All Terrain HD concept is GM’s answer to the Ford Raptor pickup truck, which is pretty cool too.  There are no plans for the All Terrain concept to make it into a production model, however it if is produced it will most likely be a Roush package.

The All Terrain concept’s underpinnings come from the four-door 2011 Sierra HD and is powered by a 6.6 liter V3 diesel engine producing 397 horsepower and a whopping 765 pound-feet (1,036 Nm) of torque, sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.  The interior gets upgraded to Denali-spec with a leather wrapped dashboard and satin metal finishes throughout the interior.  The stereo system includes an 80 gigabyte hard drive system which will soon be offered on all GM vehicles.

The exterior gets major upgrades and this is where all the “cool” happens.  The production Sierra HD’s body gets wider by 4 inches (73 inches wide in total) and ground clearance has been increased by about three inches.  The Sierra All Terrain HD concept rides on 20 inch rims with massive 35 inch BFGoodrich KM2 mud tires.  New Fox off-road shocks replace the stock shocks for better off-road performance.

Overall the All Terrain concept is a very cool looking truck with a nice wide stance and it looks capable enough to run the Baja 1000 race or it would make a perfect drug runner for those desert border crossings.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4

  1. It’s a concept for now, they might produce it later. Not sure how much they’ll cost, I’m thinking probably around the same $$ as the Ford Raptor.

  2. no this will cost at least 15 grnad more than the raptor cuz the raptor is just a suped up f150 the all terrain is a diesel and its a 2500 hd
