The Ferrari California is a very sexy and powerful car in stock form and the one presented by car tuning company Novitec Rosso is even more beautiful and powerful. The car is called Novitec Rosso Race 606 Ferrari California and will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Novitec Rosso supercharged the California’s 4.3 liter V8 engine to produce a massive 606 horsepower at 7,900 rpm (up from 460 HP) and 445 pound-feet (603 Nm) of torque at 5,500 rpm (up from 358 lb-ft.). The Novitec Rosso Race 606 California can now sprint to 62 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).
The upgraded engine includes larger injectors, redesigned intake manifolds and a water-to-air intercooler for the supercharger. The car comes with a new high-flow exhaust system that features various sound-level settings that are controlled by the Manettino button on the steering wheel. This gives the driver a choice of how much noise they want to create while ripping around in the twisties or coming home to their rich neighborhoods. The stainless exhaust system is equipped with a sport catalyst and comes with four black-coated exhaust tips.
Novitec Rosso did extensive testing in the wind tunnel to improve aerodynamics of the Ferrari California and have included various matte clear-coated carbon fiber bits and pieces to reduce lift at the front and rear, giving the car increased stability at high speeds.
The car rides on carbon fiber Novitec Rosso three-piece wheels that are 9 x 21” in the front and 11 x 22” at the back. The wheels are wrapped in Pirelli PZero high-performance 255/30 ZR21 and 315/25 ZR22 rubber. The car sits 35 mm lower thanks to a new sports suspension and the front of the car can be raised via the hydraulic system by 40 mm to go over those pesky speed bumps.
The Novitec Rosso Race 606 Ferrari California’s interior can be customized at the owner’s request with various carbon fiber trim pieces.
