Okay, so you’ve just inherited some money from a rich grandfather or won the lottery and like a true gearhead (petrol-head) the first thing you do is to go to your local Porsche dealership and buy yourself a shiny new 911 GT3. But just because you can afford it doesn’t mean you can drive it. The Germans have spent decades refining their rear engine car but it can still be a handful to drive especially in the wet and even worse if there’s snow involved.
To avoid being “that rich idiot that crashed his brand new Porsche”, you should look into the Porsche Experience Center at Silverstone, where they teach you how to drive this rear-engine supercar. Watch the video below with one of the instructors demonstrating some of the techniques taught at the school. And if you’re like me, you most likely don’t own a Porsche; you can still watch the video from a pure entertainment point. I’ll watch a supercar in action any chance I get.
