One of the toughest off road vehicle is now one of the fastest on and off the road. Brabus have unveiled the 800 Widestar, which according to the company, is the world’s most powerful off-road vehicle.
The platform starts off from its predecessor, the Brabus G V12 S, which produced 700 horsepower. The new 800 Widestar uses the same engine but output is bumped up to 800 HP at 5,500 rpm and 1,047 pound-feet (1,420 Nm) of peak torque. The extra horsepower and torque boosts the 800 Widestar from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds to an electronically controlled top speed of 149 mph. Without the speed limiter, a speed of 168 mph is achieved. All the horsepower and torque are useless, unless you can put it down to the ground. Brabus has combined the V12 with a reinforced 5 speed automatic transmission and a four wheel drive system.
On the outside, the 800 Widestar gets a wider body kit and new 23 inch Brabus Platinum Edition forged wheels. Which we doubt will ever get used when going off road.
On the inside, Brabus has left it up to the customers to design the interior to their needs. Customers can choose the soft Brabus Mastik leather and Alcantara in a variety of colors. Different upholstery design and variety of wood trim is also available.
