Audi unveiled a racing version of their TT sports car at the 2010 DTM race in Shanghai, China. The Audi TT GT4 is a factory-ready race car for the GT4 series and is supposed to be an affordable option.
Audi hasn’t released full specs of the TT GT4 but did say it will be powered by a TFSI engine producing 340 horsepower, mated to an S-tronic transmission with a differential lock. The car rides on light weight 9.5 x 18 in racing wheels and uses the production TT RS’ front and rear apron and rear spoiler. The doors, hood, and trunk are made out of carbon fiber composite (CFRP) and the windows are made out of plexi-glass. The interior is fully gutted and includes two Recaro racing seats and a full roll cage.
The Audi TT GT4 will cost €120,000 and will be sold to racing teams in Europe and Asia.
