German car tuning firm AC Schnitzer brought a tuning kit for the 2012 BMW 650i, to the Essen Motor Show in Germany. The tuning kit for the 650i is called the ASC6 5.0i and it helps make the coupe look a little more aggressive and perform better.
The tuning kit includes a new lower lip/apron for the front bumper, chrome front grill and chrome fender trim pieces, a trunk mounted rear lip spoiler, and a rear apron that has a diffuser incorporated in it. The BMW 650i now rides on 21” rims which AC Schnitzer claims weigh 30% less than the factory equipped 20” rims; the AC Schnitzer rims weigh in at 25.3 pounds each.
The tuned 2012 BMW 650i now produces 540 horsepower, up from stock 407 HP, propelling the 650i to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds, 0.6 seconds faster than the stock 650i. Other upgrades in the ASC6 5.0i tuning kit include a lowered sport suspension, a new sports exhaust, bigger brakes with 8-piston calipers, a sports steering wheel, interior accent trim, and aluminum pedals.
