The Triumph Daytona 675 is one of the most beautiful sport bikes currently available and is in my top two favorite bike list (the other is of course the Ducati 848 EVO). For this year’s EICMA show, Triumph brought a Daytona 675 R version. The 675 R is a special race-ready street bike that was developed with suspension specialists Ohlins.
The Triumph Daytona R is equipped with Ohlins 43 mm NIX30 front forks, which are usually found on exotic Italian motorcycles and on race bikes. In the rear, they put in a TT36 suspension and Brembo brakes in the front and rear.
The Triumph Daytona 675 R is visually identical to the standard version with a few carbon fiber pieces added in for a bit of weight savings and shares the same engine that produces 125 horsepower at 12,500 rpm and best-in-class 53 pound-feet (72 Nm) of torque.
