2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition

General Motors first unveiled the 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition earlier this year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.  Now GM has released more information on this limited edition Corvette, it will go into production in early 2011 and prices will start at $90,960 and go all the way up to $99,925.  A limited number of 500 cars will be produced.

The Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition will be powered by the Z06’s 7.0 liter V8 engine and will include various carbon fiber pieces.  The car will ride on 20 spoke 19 inch front and 20 inch rear wheels; it will be equipped with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with gray metallic calipers.  The headlights and mirrors are blacked out and a carbon fiber hood, rocker panels, and splitter will be included in the package.  The car will be available in either Supersonic Blue or Inferno Orange colors.

Not as many upgrades as I thought this Z06 would have, when I first heard the name “Carbon Edition”, I thought the entire body might be made out of carbon fiber rather than fiberglass.

I've been writing about cars for the last 8 years, but I've loved everything with an engine since I was a kid. I'll take the sound of high revving naturally aspirated engine over music, any day! Favorite Car: Porsche Cayman GT4
